Superbowl XL

One team played in the worst division (NFC West) in the NFL. They only played three teams with winning records. Sure they won each game but they had lucked out big time each time (one thanks to a horrible INT by Bled-scoe with 14 seconds remaining, another thanks to Jay “I just missed three game winning kicks” Feely and the Colts didn’t even show up to their game).

Hence this team had the easiest regular season schedule. No surprise, this team secures home field throughout the playoffs. In the divisional playoffs, they faced the road-weary Redskins. At this point, the Redskins had to win 6 straight with 4 on the road just to reach this stage. No surprise, the Redskins ran out of gas and lost the game. This team then faced the Panthers in the NFC champion ship. The Panthers had played 4 of their last 5 games on the road. Shortly into the game, Panthers running back Nick Goings is knocked out of the game forcing the Panthers to utilize their *fourth* string running back. This basically left the Panthers with no rushing attack making them one-dimensional team with only one receiving threat: Steve Smith. Gee I wonder who won this game.

Meanwhile, the other Superbowl team had gone on the road and beat the top three seeds to get to this point. Two of the victories were in convincing fashion to boot.

Bandwagon Seahawk fans make me sick.

Go Steelers.
