Poke Check
In my old elementary school gym, I was playing goalie in a ball hockey game. I was kind of worried because I had no helmet, pads or cup to protect my vitals. During the game, I remember going down into the butterfly to stop a shot that almost beat me 5 hole. Later, one of their players came in on a breakaway and I decided to leave my net to poke check him. I missed the poke check, but the guy shot the ball just wide of the net. However, the ball bounced off the wall and right back into the slot area. I was afraid of the guy stepping over me and shooting into the unprotected net. So I dove to make the save............ only to land on my bedroom floor. I was kind of lucky that I didn't hit my head on my drawer while I was making my dive.
