Money grows on trees
I just ordered two 6 month magazine subscriptions: the New Yorker and Sports Illustrated. Despite having higher than average annual subscription costs ($38.95-$38.95/yr), I was enticed by the low cost per issue ($0.70-$1.00) issue. I'll plan on reading SI during my breaks and eventually leaving them for mass consumption in the work break room while I'll try to read the New Yorker in my leisure time. I might also consider leaving the New Yorker in the work break room. Of course, I'll save the any notable issues, but I don't think I can save them all because of storage concerns.I don't know whether this will be a good investment given my limited time and energy hence why I only went with a 6 month subscription as opposed to a full year. Whereas I have picked up the occasional of SI throughout the years, I don't think I have ever read an issue of the New Yorker. However, the high amazon.com user rating, the combination of cultural, social and political commentary and the inclusion of short stories has convinced me to take the plunge.
