New experiences

Back in November, I decided to go watch Rachel Getting Married after watching the abysmal Quantum of Solace.

Why not I figured: good reviews, Oscar buzz for Anne Hathaway and Anne Hathaway is hot as hell.

Upon entering the theater, I had a dumbfounded double take.

The theater was empty aside from one girl in the back row.

Feeling unsettled, I plopped into my seat near the back and tried to enjoy the show. There was an awesome preview for Milk, so check that out once it has been wide released. The movie itself was good and Anne Hathaway was really on point except some significant flaws really dragged down the film.

1) Horrible and nauseating camera work. Probably due to the fact that it was literally shot with a handycam.
2) Editing and pacing. Some scenes definitely needed to be trimmed and tightened.
3) Lackluster ending.

During the course of the film, I decided that I should start hitting on the chick in the back row. Granted, I didn't get a good look at her while sitting down and she could have easily been the elephant man's daughter. But what the hell, we were alone and had something in common that we could converse about. Unfortunately, near the end of the film, I noticed that she had left and I was left all alone. Just my luck.
