No more Dota Part 2/2

Beastie Boys – Sabotage

Sequence 1

- Pudge attacks axe, so axe uses beserker’s call. Amazingly, axe doesn’t get a single counter helix in. Pudge finishes Axe with a hook.

- Stealth Assassin (SA) blink strikes Pudge forcing a near dead Pudge to retreat

- Weaver joins in on the chase.

- Normally Pudge would normally suicide, but he decides to run into the trees behind the tower

- SA is badly getting hurt by the tower but decides to continue the chase….big mistake as Pudge bites SA and finishes him off

- Key mistake: As SA gets killed, weaver gets horribly stupid and starts attacking the creeps instead of Pudge

- Pudge comes out from the trees and hooks weaver. 2 hits later, weaver is dead and Pudge barely survives.

Sequence 2

Enigma blinks at the absolute last second to dodge Lich’s killing blow. Nothing super special

Sequence 3

- Pudge hooks nightstalker (ns) and attacks with rot on. Witch doctor starts attacking ns as well.

- Pudge kills ns, but barely survives the ns’s void and medusa’s chain lightning.

- Both Medusa and Pudge retreat. Then Medusa changes his mind and tries to kill Pudge while Pudge elects to hide in the trees.

- Witch Doc stuns Medusa with a paralyzing cask and Medusa changes his mind again and retreats, but gets hooked by Pudge

- Unbelievably, Pudge doesn’t get killed by Medusa and ends up biting and finishing him

- If you look carefully, yellow seems to be having a good laugh

Sequence 4

- Juggernaut is chasing someone (can’t tell who). A necrowarrior gets the killing blow on the fleeing hero.

- Jugg is stunned by sand king (sk) and Shadow Fiend starts attacking Jugg.

- Key move: During the retreat, Jugg immediately uses bladefury preventing Fiend from using shadowraze (assuming Fiend put a point into it)

- Key move 2: There are no more scourge creeps around, so Jugg decides to turn around use Omnislash on fiend and sk thus hitting them 7-9 times

- Key mistake: During the omnislash, Fiend could've ran away, but he turns around and tries to finish off Jugg

- Sand king dies and Jugg gets in a lucky critical strike to finish off fiend

Sequence 5

- Lina is badly hurt and Avernus is hot in pursuit.

- Avernus is slowed down by the Sentinel creeps, which gives Lina time to hit a LSA / dragon slave combo

- Key move: Lina heads to the little groove in the map, so that he’s close enough to use Laguna Blade to finish off Avernus

Sequence 6

- Magnus uses reverse polarity to suck in enchantress, lina and viper.

- Spectre charges in to help his 3 teammates….big mistake. Crystal Maiden charges in and uses freezing field to finish off the 4 enemy heroes

Sequence 7

- Queen of Pain (qop) nearly finishes Panda with a sonic wave. One of Banehallow’s summons is chasing Panda forcing Panda to use his ultimate (Primal Split). The tower kills the summon.

- The three pandas force qop to retreat and panda heads back to base

- Key mistake: Banehallow (in wolf form) comes out too soon causing Panda to run back to the tower.

- Qop ends up getting killed by the tower, but almost kills Panda.

- Banehallow looks to deliver the killing blow, but Panda stomps and uses drunken haze on Banehallow.

- Banehallow is getting hurt by the tower and has been slowed down by 35-72 %, so he’s forced to retreat. Panda 4 teh win.

No more Dota Part 1/2

A couple of weeks ago, I've decided to stop playing Dota. I'd still like to comment on these great Dota vids that I've seen.

Arch Enemy – Nemesis

- We’ll assume Earthshaker has lv4 fissure, lv1 enchant totem, lv4 aftershock and lv2 echo slam
-
- Naix is pushing the bottom Sentinel lane
- Earthshaker comes in and stuns naix with fissure, follows with 2 hits and an enchanted totem hit.
- Naix uses avatar. It looks bad for earthshaker who decides to run.
- Spectre uses haunt/reality and joins in on the chase.

- Key mistake: Spectre gets in naix’s way thus preventing naix from slowing earthshaker with poison sting.

- Instead of waking up and left back to base, Earthshaker runs in a circle thus stalling for 15 seconds (the cooldown for fissure)
- Earthshaker stuns both naix and spectre with fissure and uses echo slam.

- There are 3 scourge creeps along with naix and spectre. Assuming Lv2 echo slam, that’s 275 damage followed by 225 echo damage. Throw in the fissure damage (275) and 2 aftershocks (115*2 = 230) for a grand total of 1005 damage and a well deserved double kill

The rest is either extreme luck or more likely maphacking BS (chasing tree to the outskirts of the scourge base and sniping him with fissure? C’MON!)

More Heaven and Hell

Hm I forget to mention the opening acts for the Heaven and Hell concert

Down

Turns out Phil Anselmo (formerly of Pantera) fronts this band, but I didn't realize it at the time. Guess I don't know my metal

Megadeth

They played 8 or so songs. I only recognized: Kick the chair, symphony of destruction, holy wars....the punishment due. Holy wars was extremely well done. According to the Georgia Straight, this was apparently the best part of the whole concert. I wholeheartedly agree.

Something is rotten in the state of Denmark, and Hamlet is taking out the trash!

Sorely underrated

Heaven and Hell

Who: Black Sabbath / Heaven and Hell
Where: Pacific Coliseum
When: Mar 11, 2007 (Sunday)

How much: ~$45.50

My seat: Sec 4, Row 13, Seat 5 (way in the back, upper bowl)

Frankly I only attended out of guilt because Zach went to the Foo Fighters concert with me 2 years ago. Then again, Zach at least listened to the first two FF albums whereas the only thing I knew about Sabbath was 'Ironman'. Turns out, this wasn't the Ozzy Osbourne era of Black Sabbath, but rather the Ronnie Dio era.

And for whatever lame reason, the band would call themselves "Heaven and Hell" (1980 album) instead of Black Sabbath. Makes just as much sense as Nintendo switching their name to "Super Mario Bros. 3". Whatever

Anyhow, I've never listened to any Sabbath songs, so the songs had no meaning for me. It seemed alright upon first listen, but otherwise it was pretty boring for me. In the end, Zach said he liked the Foo Fighters concert better (which I thought was good if a bit uneven).

Ultimately a big waste of cash.

How to lay the smackdown

Unlike a typical girl-girl fight, (ie this one), skinny girl knows how to throw down as shown by....

1) Fat girl goes for hand/wrist control. Why? I'm not so sure. Skinny girl counters with a big overhand right.

2) While fat girl is on dream street, skinny girl immediately and I mean IMMEDIATELY jumps into the mount position. Smart move.

3) Instead of doing the usual girly thing like grabbing hair, throwing slaps or sissy hammerfists, skinny girl starts throwing bombs ....... with both hands!

"you still want to fight me bitch?"

U go gurl

MS Excel

For some weird reason, if you're editing a comment, you can't open a new file unless you stop editing the comment. This has already a caused a couple "wtf, why isn't this file opening?!"

Lipton Sidekicks

For some reason, I convinced myself to buy a package yesterday.

It's horribly bland, chalk full of calories (600-700) and I'm going to be hungry again in 25 minutes.
