Metroid
- As a kid, I almost beat Metroid II: Return of Samus. The object was to hunt down all of the metriods on the planet and I managed to get down to 1 (the queen metroid). However, I was never able to find that damn queen and never finished the game.
Metroid II game map.
Looking back, I don’t know how I managed to get that far in the game without any help whatsoever (I had no FAQ on hand and the internet was only in its infancy). That map just intimidates me now. 2 years ago, I played Metroid for the NES except I gave up after a while; I was sick of running in circles for the last hour or so (I didn’t use a map). I’m beginning to doubt whether I could finish Metroid I or II if I was locked in a room for a week or so.
I must be slipping.
- Currently playing Metroid Prime on hard mode and will probably start playing Heroes of Might and Magic V when I finish downloading it. More on MP hard mode later.
- I’m considering playing thru Metroid II using a guide and map up until I’m down to the final metroid. Of course, I’ll have to do this on an emulator, since I have no idea where my Gameboy went.
- Yeah, I waste my time thinking about this kind of stuff instead of planning for my career. My mom is starting to increase the number of “have you sent out any applications” inquiries, which has gotten really annoying.
