Ciclon

It's an interesting mix of tequila and rum. I had it last Thursday. I'd recommend it.

Go Go Power Rangers

Ok. It's 5:26am and I just wasted the last half hour reading about the power rangers.

I also found this cool 35-part website that explains the entire Spiderman clone saga. I intend to read it later.

Holy Shit!

In Dota earlier today, I got my first one of these today:

"For consecutive kills, in DotA AllStars, when a player is able to execute 3 or more consecutive kills on an enemy without dying in the process, all players will receive a verbal acknowledgement as credit for performing this feat. Bonus gold will also be provided to an enemy hero who can stop this killing streak. They are:
  • 3 - [Name of Player] is on a Killing Spree (50 bonus gold)
  • 4 - [Name of Player] is Dominating (100 bonus)
  • 5 - [Name of Player] has a Mega-Kill (150 bonus)
  • 6 - [Name of Player] is Unstoppable (200 bonus)
  • 7 - [Name of Player] is Wicked Sick (250 bonus)
  • 8 - [Name of Player] has a M-m-m-m....Monster Kill (300 bonus)
  • 9 - [Name of Player] is Godlike (350 bonus)
  • 10+ - [Name of Player] is Beyond Godlike (Somebody kill him!) (400 bonus)
    • The displayed text is Beyond Godlike, whereas the game's voice actually says "Holy Shit!".
  • 20+ [Name of Player] should Just Go Home!!! (800 bonus gold)"

Ok. So I haven't gotten up to the 20+ level yet, but I'll work on it. I think the 20+ message was just added to v6.31 (which was released today). Actually that's according to wikipedia. The official changelog mentions nothing about the 20+ message. Hence the danger of relying on wikipedia because any joe blow can edit the wikipeida info with maliciously intent.

Random testing

Should've been studying for unit operations but instead i did this:

I am 53% Video Game Addict.
I have a Video Game Problem
Video games are a big portion of my life, maybe too big of a portion. They are not a means of social interaction, despite what I might think. I should just go outside.
Take the
Video Game Addict Test
@ FualiDotCom

I am 37% Internet Addict.
Slight Internet Addict.
I could go either way. Deep into the madness of nights filled with coding CGI-Scripts and online role playing games, or I could become a normal user. Good luck!

Internet Addict Test
@ FualiDotCom

I am 10% Geek.
I wish I was a Geek. But alas I am not. Damn.
I wanna be a geek. But I'm not. Why would I even want to be one. Do I think it's fun? I should try writting an online test application at 1 am in my underwear

I am 45% Idiot.
Ain't Too Bright
I ain't too bright. But all those other idiots annoy the hell out of me. I may not be the brightest bulb in the bunch, but at least I know my limits.

Blogging notes

Ok ridicule me, ignore me, whatever.

But I can't tolerate the deletion of my comments. Hence I will no longer read Conrad's blog. Not like it's interesting or anything. More like an extended dialogue between him and his girlfriend.

Dope Verses

When he have the mic it's like the place get like: 'Ah yeah!'
It's like they know what's 'bout to happen
Just keep ya eye out, like 'aye, aye captain'

.........

Givin' y'all nothing but the lick like two broads
Got more lyrics than the church got 'Ooh Lords'
And he hold the mic and your attention like two swords
Or even one with two blades on it
Hey you, don't touch the mic like it's AIDS on it
It's like the end to the means
Fucked type of message that sends to the fiends
That's why he brings his own needles
And get more cheese than Doritos, Cheetos or Fritos..
Slip like Freudian
Your first and last step to playin' yourself like accordion

Ultimate playoffs (last weekend)

We killed some jabronis in the first round 12-2. They stunk.

In the semi finals, we playing against "Holy Fach, It's Mack and Ross". They jumped out to an early 2-0 lead. Then Kevin made a crazy ass lay out (it knocked the wind out of him and he went face first into the mud) for our first score. I knew we'd been in tough versus these Vanier kids. The wind had a big influence on the game which lead me to the following sports cliches: with the wind (home game), against the wind (road game) and we've gotta hold serve! (aka get the wind/home points). Unfortunately, the team and I weren't playing that consistently. We'd get the precious road point and then proceed to lose the home point. This happened several times. Eventually, they were leading 10-8 and things were looking really grim. Then we proceed to score 5 unanswered to win the game 13-8. I was on the sideline when the score was 10-8 and only came on for the last point when someone needed a sub. So yeah, I didn't contribute as much as I wanted, but thankfully we had a great win. I think the other team was starting to wear down by the end of the game.

I had a very close call in one of the first 2 games (I don't remember which one now). I was running diagonally for the disc in the air. Allen was running diagonally towards me and either trip and fell or dove for the disc. Allen was too close to me, so I couldn’t jump him over him without clipping him in the face. Instead I got knocked down/tripped by Allen and mercifully escaped a brutal knee injury. Man oh man, I’ve seen enough sports highlights to know that I dodged a bullet.

Wow. We were in the finals and I knew this was my last chance to win a UBC rec medal (Me winning Storm the Wall? lets be realistic now). We were up against the Whalers. According to some advanced scouting, the guys were insanely good and the girls sucked bad. Once in the game, I found out that this was only half true. One of the girls was actually a solid player. The guys were as good as advertised and they had a serious height advantage on most of us. Combined with their decent leaping ability, we were helpless on high throws. Despite the fact we scored the first 2 points, they lead 10-5 or something like that. To worsen matters, Kirk had to leave for some soccer game and Kevin had to stop playing due to bad cramps. To be fair, one of their players was also cramping badly. I made some good plays that got me and another person a score to draw us closer at 10-7. At some point, I slid thru for a touchdown pass, but I couldn’t come up with the disc. I just couldn’t make the additional plays to get us over the hump. Then, they got the back breaking 11th score and it was downhill from there. On the last or second last point, I was jostling with one of the Whalers and there was a high throw. He managed to out jump both me and my teammate and it would lead to a score. The sad thing was that we were wearing down by the end, which was ironic considering the other team didn’t have any male subs and 1 girl sub (both teams had played twice already…..third consecutive game). The other team played a pseudo zone and poached our guys which probably helped them conserve energy. They ended winning 12-7.

I slowly sulked off the field and looking over my shoulder. The other team looked happy and merry as that douche bag Kavie Toor presented their medals. That could’ve been me.

Epilogue: I was sick after iron ring and got just enough better for ultimate playoffs. However, Ultimate made me sick again on Monday and I had many aches and pains. Monday really sucked for me.
