Fire at the arcade

After the Edinburgh concert, it was readily apparent that Arcade Fire had cinched the title of favorite band. Perhaps if I grew up in the 80's, my favorite group would've been U2, but alas it wasn't meant to be. Arcade Fire is so entrenched and entwined in my memories that it's going to be extremely difficult for another artist to unseat them. More so than any other band, a number of my personal thoughts, ideas and memories are invoked when I listen to certain songs.

Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels) - Thinking about my youth
Wake Up - All time favorite, thoughts about youth, aging and fighting cynicism with optimism
Haiti - Invokes memories of struggling to get into Funeral, before this ethereal song spearheaded my 180 turnaround on the album and consequently the group.

Keep the Car Running - Thoughts of travelling especially when driving
No Cars Go - All time favorite, thoughts about optimism
My Body is a Cage - The song that should be played at my funeral

Sprawl II (Mountains beyond Mountains) - All time favorite. Currently one of two songs that accurately captures my life
