I'm now using a stronger fertilizer for my money tree
In my original magazine research, I identified three magazines worthy of subscription: Sports Illustrated, The New Yorker and The Economist. I feared the New Yorker might've been too much for me, so I eliminated the Economist from my menu. Not to mention, the Economist is pricier than most magazines ($126/year). Now, I've decided to take the plunge, so I've signed up for a 6 month subscription to the Economist. I did enjoy the one issue that I bought from the newsstand. I've also been wavering on whether to cancel my SI subscription in favor of an ESPN magazine subscription. Although SI produces some great articles, too many articles are lame duck generic human interest stories combined with cliche sports platitudes ("He won 'cuz he was hungrier"). Whereas I'm every time I read ESPN magazine at the dentist's office, I'm impressed with the statistical analysis and fresh perspectives on sports journalism.LoL. Actually while writing this article, I simultaneously put in for a ESPN magazine subscription.
That's now 4 magazine subscriptions. On top of books (mostly fiction) and language studies. We'll see how I manage my time.
