I hate people

For whatever reason, the tv is on in the background playing "The Real World". Aside from a Dave Chappelle skit, I have never seen the show before. Needless to say, this is by far one of the worst shows (reality tv or otherwise) that I have ever seen. You have to wonder how many people do lead lives that replicate the story lines on the show.

Push buttons. Fun.

I can understand how some hardcore gamers despise the Wii because games like Wii play are incredibly dumb-downed. Not everyone wants to learn the 96 different controls to play GTA or spend hours getting their brains beat in while mastering the intricacies of DOTA. Then again, it's same for many things in life; you can't be an elitist in all matters. However, I find it infuriating when a person needs absolutely everything dumb-downed to the lowest common denominator for them to enjoy it. Does this apply to a large segment of the population? Sure seems like it sometimes. Hence I'm pissed too.

Musings

So my vacation back to Vancouver has been delayed to next week. I wouldn't be surprised if it was delayed again or just plain canceled.

I now have a mosquito bite high on my cheek bone.

Musings

- Watched Kramer vs Kramer the other day. Good movie? yeah. Best Picture of 1979? Nah. It had a semi-goofball ending, but given the wacky nature of people, I suppose it's semi-pausible.

- Been watching a lot of Melrose Place in the last month. It kinda makes me glad that I'm single (kinda) because the women on the show fall into 3 categories: whiny & irrational, bitch and crazy, psycho bitch.

- After EliteXC's saturday night fights, what did I learn about Kimbo Slice:

Has decent punching power
Takedown defence is somewhat lacking
Poor cardio
A bit clueless on his back and a very loose half-guard that's going to lead to someone easily mounting him

But since this was his 3rd fight and he has no amateur background, I suppose he's doing just OK.

- in north america, Kimbo Slice is more well known than either Fedor Emelianenko or Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. Sad but true.
