Catch-22

I hate job hunting. Isn't this a boom time for engineers? From what I've seen, it would seem so, but 97% of the jobs required 2+ years of work experience. Since I don't have enough experience, I can't get/apply for the job. Without a job, I can't get experience and without experience.......well you get the idea by now.

Hotornot stuff

Was planning to post part 3 yesterday, but yesterday was a stressful day for my whole family because of this stupid box. More about it later.

Sometime next week. Maybe this weekend

Hotornot stuff

I finally tabulated the hotornot scores (it took a whole 4-5 mins). There's one funny result. Haha sucker.

I also wrote a draft of the third part and it's about 500 words. I'll let it sit for a couple of days before posting. Good to see that most of the people involved don't care about the results. Good for you.

This is why I have favorite aunts

I only like two of my blood-related aunts on my dad's side: aunt Lydia and aunt Han.

The eldest aunt is kinda clueless, but ultimately harmless. My fat aunt (hey it's a well established nickname on my dad's side) can be hopeless. You'd figure after living and working in Smithers for around 25 years, a simple phrase to the cab driver such as "Hi. Please take me to Euclid street in Vancouver. It's near the Joyce skytrain station" should be simple right? Noooooooooooo. (My Taiwanese uncle and his broken but semi functional english saved the day here)

Other annoying things:
- Unsure how to operate the lock on our front door (You turn the lock horizontally; just like 98% of the other locks in the world)

- Unable to buckle up the car seatbelt because of either obesity, stupidity or a combination of both (I had to buckle her up)

- Goes to chinatown via bus #19 (as instructed by my mom and another aunt) and then calls me to say that she doesn't know the way home. Somehow she doesn't realize she should just take the same bus, but in the opposite direction. I supposed she could've asked the bus driver for help, but then again, please re-read first paragraph. (Mercifully, my mom found her with no problems)

Daily Musings

- I've been playing Castlevania: Circle of the Moon for the gameboy advance. Good game, but the game has gotten really stupid for the final boss because I have to waste a couple of hours to leveling up my character to have any chance of winning

- Too many visiting relatives at my house as of late. It's been really distracting and it's hard enough for me to motivate myself for my job search.

- Haven't done any writing as of late (lugs part 3 or my other queue). Partly due to the second point above.

*EDIT* What's Chung This Week

- Played Super Mario Bros. 3 today. Used the 1-up trick on level 3-9 and then warped to world 8 with 2 whistles. Then I stopped using save states. 30 lives later, I finished the game. Yay me.........Later that night, I decided what the heck, I might as finish the entire game, so I started from level 3-9 (save state) and finished the entire game (92 lives at the end).

- Won a domination victory in Civilization 4 on noble difficulty as the French (I randomed at the start). The game says I have the leadership abilities of Augustus Caesar. Yay me. I think I'll try the game on prince difficulty next time, although I think I had a lot of lucky breaks in my domination victory.

- I noticed that I've developed right elbow pains after long sessions of Civilization IV and I've experienced similar pains from day long DoTa sessions. You'd figure that I would stop playing, but nope.

- Went to La Bodega again with people (1277 Howe Street). The food was a lot better this time, but I wished that we went to Stepho's instead. Thanks to the sangria, the bill was $30/head. Geez

- Forgot to bring socks to monday's ultimate game. Result = loss of some skin on right foot. Not to mention, I suffered a thigh bruise.

- I'm very sure that my 7 year old cousin broke my computer headphones before he went home to Calgary. Hence I'll have to punch him in the gut the next time I see him. I've already used pro wrestling moves to straighten his dumb ass out when he got out of control (death valley driver, powerbomb, chokeslam).
